What are some examples of the use of the word “piacere” in Italian? What do they mean and how would you translate them into English?

Piacere : to like. A me piace spesso mangiare un’insalata. I often like to eat a salad. I like : a me piace.

A whore : una donna di piacere, una prostituta ( a prostitute ).

A brothel : una casa di piacere ( even though it's more common the expression ‘ casa di tolleranza ‘ ).

A me piace molto suonare il pianoforte. I’m fond of ( = a me piace molto ) playing the piano. A me piace : from the verb ‘piacere’.

I’m pleased to meet you. Piacere di/è un piacere (= I’m pleased ) conoscerla.
